Low Auldgirth

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Low Auldgirth as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Low Auldgirth Tower House was built in the late medieval period, likely by a local landholding family in the Auldgirth area of Dumfries and Galloway. It is remembered as a surviving example of a defensive tower house in a region with a strong history of border conflicts between Scotland and England.
