Louise Shanahan

Louise Shanahan was born in Cork in 1997 and trained under her father, Ray Shanahan, an Irish national champion in the 1500 metres. They became the first father and daughter to claim Irish national championships in that event. She later studied physics at University College Cork and Trinity College, Cambridge, competing in the 800 metres at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
