What is recorded here
Walled garden, c.1840, with segmental-arched carriage arch and square-headed pedestrian gate. Ashlar limestone dressings to openings with single and pair of cast-iron gates.
This walled garden forms part of an interesting group of Loughcrew demesne-related structures, with the Ionic portico, workers' houses, church, stables, graveyard and gate lodges. The rubble masonry contrasts with the ashlar dressings which add textural interest to the site.
