What is recorded here
Knocknamucklagh holds the sixth recorded house of Lough Mask, a cave point buried beneath County Mayo rather than a building with doors. The land may hide chambers where water writes and erases human traces, yet no visible staircase or lantern mark survives to confirm the shape of that darkness. Any entry needs owner permission and respect for living ground, not bravado.
The Irish Caves Database records Lough Mask House 6 at Knocknamucklagh in County Mayo. This point comes from its public cave register. A cave map point does not by itself grant access: check local conditions and ask the landowner where needed.
The cave register does not grant public access. Check conditions and ask the landowner before entering private land.
