What is recorded here
London Bridge has a long history dating back to Roman times, with several structures built on the site to connect the northern and southern banks of the River Thames. The current bridge, completed in 1973, replaced earlier versions, including the 13th-century stone bridge that was a vital commercial and transport link in medieval London.
