Lochinch Castle, Cross-slab stands in Dumfries and Galloway as an early Medieval cross slab, marking a boundary between human memory and forgotten time. The stone may have guided prayers, warned travelers, or simply divided land before written rules existed. Its surface still holds the shape of hands that chiseled it, even if those hands belong to nobody living now.
