Loch an Iúir Soldiers' Burial Ground lies hidden in peatland above the water, marking where O'Donnell and O'Neill soldiers fell in 1435. The earth keeps their names without stones, while the lake watches the slope where young men stopped running.
In peatland, on an SE-facing slope overlooking Loch an Iúir. According to local tradition this is the burial ground of soldiers killed in a battle between the O'Donnells and the O'Neills in 1435 AD. There are no remains visible at ground level.
