Loch-an-eilein Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Loch-an-eilein Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Loch-an-eilein Castle is a medieval structure located on an island in Loch nan Eilean, Kintail, Scottish Highlands. It is believed to have been built by the MacKinnon clan in the 13th or 14th century and is remembered as a strategic stronghold in the region's turbulent history.
