Why this matters
Little Skirrid rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the Brecon Beacons range in south Wales. It is composed mainly of Old Red Sandstone and is associated with local folklore, including tales of a hidden cave and ancient druidic rituals. The hill matters as a minor but notable landmark within the scenic and historical landscape of Monmouthshire.
