Little Caradoc rises to approximately 470 metres and is part of the Long Mynd, a prominent upland area in Shropshire with geology primarily consisting of Silurian slate and sandstone. It is associated with local folklore, including legends of ancient British and Roman connections, and marks the boundary between the Welsh Marches and Wales, giving it historical and geographical significance.
