Lisshibaun is a well-preserved fairy fort in County Galway, Ireland. Its subcircular bank measures twenty-nine and a half metres east-west and twenty-eight metres north-south, with a sharp scarp rising from the south-southeast. A chambered tomb rests inside the ring, suggesting the dead and the living once shared the same enclosed ground. The fort still holds its shape beside another ringfort, waiting for people brave enough to imagine what happened there.
Some 320m ESE of a ringfort (GA017-060----). Well-preserved subcircular rath (E-W 29.5m, N-S 28m) defined by a bank and by a scarp from SSE to S. Within the interior is a CBG (GA017-061001----). (Neary 1914, 113, no. 117)

Lisshibaun, Carrowpadeen West is a well-preserved subcircular ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, with a central burnt grave (CBG) indicating possible ritual or funerary activity. Local tradition may associate such sites with fairy lore, as "Lisshibaun" suggests a "fairy enclosure," reflecting the common Irish belief in supernatural inhabitants of ancient earthworks.
