On a prominent hill in grassland, c. 500m SW of Cappataggle village. A subcircular barrow (N-S 13.2, E-W 11.5m), in fair condition, consisting of an earthen bank (Wth 4.9m max., Helm ext), best preserved from E through S to SW, which encloses a slightly hollow interior.

A subcircular Bronze Age barrow; it is a type of early mortuary monument characteristic of the Irish landscape. Its location on a prominent hill suggests a ceremonial or ritual significance in the local prehistoric landscape.
