In pasture, sloping gently to E. Circular area (57m N-S; 55m E-W) enclosed by remains of earthen bank (H 0.7m), S to NW, overlain by stone field fence; vague outline of bank visible NW to S. External fosse (D 0.3m) encloses site. Possible entrance (Wth 3.2m) with causeway on ESE. The above description has been derived from D. Lissataggart, Drumnashinnagh is a circular earthen ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, with a visible bank and fosse. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy dwellings, and they were often avoided due to beliefs in supernatural inhabitants.
