Stone cistern, built c.1860, no longer in use. Rectangular on plan. Rubble limestone walling with cement internal lining. Located on hill to north of Lissadell House to which it supplied water.
This water tank is of technical interest as it was used to supply water by gravity to Lissadell Estate. Water is brought to the tank by a water ram (32400815).
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
