What is recorded here

Lissabally is a ruined oval rath on a Galway ridge where modern bulldozers erased half its ancient bank. The surviving western ditch still cuts the grassland, framing a chambered tomb that has watched the valley since before human memory. What remains is a wounded circle, half stolen by progress, half preserved by neglect.

On S-facing slope of a ridge in grassland. Very poorly preserved oval rath (N-S 68m, E-W 58m) defined by a bank and external fosse best preserved from S to W. From N through E to S, the bank has been bulldozed and the fosse infilled. Ponds occur at NE and E. Within the interior is a CBG (GA029-120001-).
