Lisnarabia

On a S-facing slope in grassland. Oval rath (66m N-S; 56m E-W), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. The bank is present from SW through N to SE, and the fosse survives from SW through W to N and at SE. The latter has been quarried out from N to E; quarrying has also encroached upon the monument at S. Lisnarabia, Abbeyland Great is an oval early-medieval ringfort, likely dating to between the 6th and 10th centuries AD, situated on a south-facing slope. While specific folklore is not recorded, its name may reflect a later association with monastic or ecclesiastical activity, given the "Abbeyland" element in its title.
