Lismore Castle stands in County Galway as a ruined tower house, its stone frame still marking the ground where power and danger once lived. The demesne around it may have held gardens, fields or fear, though much of that life has faded from memory. What remains is a shape in the landscape, waiting for someone to imagine the hands that built it and the reasons they watched the road.

Lismore Castle, located in County Waterford, was originally built in the 13th century by the FitzGerald dynasty and later held by the Butler family. It is remembered as a significant medieval stronghold and the ancestral seat of the Earls of Ormond, with notable historical and architectural importance.
