In level pasture on elevated site. Roughly rectangular area (c. 42m N-S; c. 34m E-W) defined by an internal earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1m) N->ENE and scarped edge ENE->N with fosse. External bank (int. H 1.7m; ext. H 0.25m). Earthen bank crosses fosse at E to meet internal earthen bank. Limekiln built on inner face of external bank at NW. NW corner of interior quarried away and N-S running ridge runs midway through interior. Listed as a moated site by Barry (Barry 1981, 84; site no. 26).
