Lisnagrough is a circular earthwork in County Cork, Ireland, where a raised bank and steep scarp still mark the edge of a forgotten home. The interior tilted slightly on the sloping ground, yet someone built it level enough to live inside. That much is written in the soil. The rest belongs to imagination, where chambers may have held lamps, children may have run past doors, and the fort may have spoken through dreams before it became pasture.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (27.5m N-S; 28.8m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.35m) WSW->ENE; scarp (H 2.4m) elsewhere; shallow fosse W->E. Break in bank to ENE (Wth 1.8m), and W (Wth 2m). Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
