Lisheennabeagh is a circular rath in County Galway, measuring forty metres across, where two banks and an intervening fosse still trace the shape of a forgotten home. Three boundary walls cut through the earth at NNE, SE and S, proving that human hands have repeatedly redrawn the edge of the sacred and the ordinary. The gap at NW may be original, an invitation rather than a breach, while the outer bank hides except at NE where sunlight still catches its ridge.
