Lisheenmeal is a ruined fairy fort on a low Kerry hill, its shallow bank still marking a circular space above the Glanooragh valley. The kind of place where people may have kept sheep, children may have played, and the unseen may have watched back.

In pasture, on the summit of a low hill, overlooking the valley of the Glanooragh River to the S. The rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m). A roughly circular level area (c. 42m N-S) is evident defined by a slight trace of a bank NW-NE and by a natural fall of ground along the S arc. Another rath (KE058-062----) lies c. 150m to the SSE.
