Lingcomb Edge is a sea cliff composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 to 320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata that have resisted coastal erosion, providing a visible geological record of ancient shallow seas.
