Linear earthwork in Kildromin

On low lying wet pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 580m N of a townland boundary with Ballinlough. Ring-barrow (LI032-285----) lies 235m to NE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff162: AP 4/3633) as a linear-shaped cropmark running NNE-SSW for the most part and turning roughly N-S for a short distance at the N end. Levelled monument is visible as a linear-shaped cropmark (L 320m) running NNE-SSW and turning at the N end where it runs (L 110m) roughly N-S, as best seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and as partially seen on Google Earth orthoimage 28/06/2018.
