What is recorded here

Kilconnell lost its Liagan before the first national map drew the county, leaving only a name and an empty ridge above the marsh. The granite slab once leaned southwest near a church, marking a boundary or memory that nobody recorded when it vanished. Forgetting completed what breaking began, yet the lost stone still stands in the gap where the place-name points.

Close to the summit of a low ridge overlooking marshland to the SW. This standing stone (H 1.5m; base Wth 1.15-1.2m narrowing to 0.37-1m at top) consists of a granite slab, roughly rectangular in plan and leaning to the SW. Partly displaced, it is aligned NE-SW.
