Leacht Benan is a ten-metre elongated stone cairn lying north of the Kilbenan church, locally believed to mark the final resting place of St Benan. It belongs to the early ecclesiastical remains at Kilbenan in County Galway, where stone and memory still touch. The distinction between fact and tradition blunts at that spot, leaving only the shape of reverence behind.

Part of the early ecclesiastical remains at Kilbenan (GA029-017004-) it lies 150m to N of the church (GA029-017002-). An elongated cairn of stone (L 10m, Wth 4m, H 1.5m), its long axis running N-S, which is locally believed to be the final resting place of St Benan.
