What is recorded here
Leac nan Tàillearan is shown as a headland on the public map of Highland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Leac nan Tàillearan is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of metamorphic rocks, likely of Precambrian to early Paleozoic age. These rocks were formed through high-pressure and high-temperature deformation of older sedimentary or igneous materials, typical of the Scottish Caledonides, and the area is notable for its geological significance within the ancient mountain belt that once extended across northern Britain.
