Latrine in Dublin South City

Latrine

What is recorded here

Not an ancient chamber, but a planned trap for human waste above a working watercourse. Dublin South City may have stunk before it aspired, and that is the point.
Clarke mentions a public latrine which was to be built over a watercourse from St John's millsin 1571 (2002, 28). Not precisely located.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
