Latrine in Dublin South City

Latrine

What is recorded here

No latrine in the world is as ancient as the one at Christchurch, Dublin. It has six seats and a view over the river. People urinated there for centuries before leaving. Their warmth still triggers the camera. The church reuses that life instead of killing it.
Clarke mentions the former existence of a public latrine associated with Christchurch Cathedral which was to be restored with 6 seats in 1581 and is also mentioned in 1608 (2002, 28). Not precisely located.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
