Largin Castle

Largin Castle is a 12th-century Norman motte-and-bailey castle, built by the de Lacy family, who were prominent Anglo-Norman lords in the region. It is important as a well-preserved example of early medieval military architecture and as evidence of Norman expansion into northern England.
