A spring well at the bottom of a ravine SE of the River Delvin. Approached from an overgrown pathway. No longer venerated (Healy 1975, 16). The well is a chalybeate spring. Linked to a local tradition of healing, the Lady Well was historically visited for its chalybeate (iron-rich) waters, believed to have curative properties, particularly for blood-related ailments. The well’s dedication to "the Lady" may reflect a Marian devotion or an earlier Celtic female deity associated with healing springs.
