Lady's Well, Kintore

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lady's Well, Kintore as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to a local tradition of healing, Lady's Well is associated with the veneration of the Virgin Mary, a common feature of many Scottish holy wells. It was likely a site of pilgrimage and ritual, where water was collected for its supposed curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general well-being.
