Kyleroe Fort - Hachured

Kyleroe Fort is a circular earthen ringfort in County Limerick, Ireland, measuring twenty-six metres across and marked by a scarped edge that rises to three and a half metres on the eastern side. A narrow northern gap leads into rough pasture where badger sets still twist through the soil, suggesting the fort has belonged to other creatures since people stopped naming it. The eastern bank may have blocked wind or watched the road, but the badgers have no such reason; they dig because the dark earth calls.
