Knocknagreana Forts occupied a Galway hillock as a thirty-metre circular rath, but human activity erased its visible shape before modern measurement arrived. Local memory preserved the fortress while grass and forgetting removed its walls. The site resists easy description because it stopped being a separate place long before anyone asked it to disappear.

On a hillock in undulating grassland. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1946) as a circular enclosure (D c. 30m). No visible surface trace survives.
