What is recorded here

Kisimul Castle Jetty and Ferry is a castle, fort or tower in Na h-Eileanan Siar, Scotland. Perhaps the jetty bit into green water like a black tooth. Maybe the ferry pulled rope and muscle while people watched the castle rise from mist. Imagine salt on every stone and a deck that still smells of distance.
A named place photographed at this map point in Na h-Eileanan Siar.
Kisimul Castle Jetty and Ferry are associated with the MacNeil clan, who held Kisimul Castle, the ancestral seat of the Clan MacNeil, from the 13th century onwards. The jetty and ferry were important for accessing the remote castle located on a small island off the coast of Barra in the Western Isles.
