Kirtlebridge ViaductViaduct · 122 yd

Explorer Tom Kirtlebridge Viaduct in Dumfries and Galloway is a big stone bridge that probably thinks it’s much more important than it actually is, maybe even royalty if you squint really hard. It definitely remembers the day it was nearly sold off to some farmer who just wanted a fancy fence for his horses. I bet it still pretends to be busy carrying trains when it’s really just standing there doing nothing.

Kirtlebridge, Kirtle New BridgeBridge (19th Century) (1820) · 298 yd

Explorer Tom Kirtle New Bridge from 1820 is just seagull central with a bit of history mixed in. The birds probably think they own the place and are currently drafting a strongly worded letter to the management about the lack of fish offerings. It’s not much to look at, but it has the audacity to call itself 'New' when it’s older than most people’s grandmothers. Bring a friend who talks too much and let the gä

Langshaw HouseHouse (18th Century) · 483 yd

Explorer Tom Langshaw House has been standing there since the eighteenth century, still pretending it doesn’t see the nosy neighbors peeking over the fence! It’s got that classic 'don't touch' energy, like it’s waiting for someone to trip over its own feet. I bet it would throw a shoe at anyone who asked too many questions about its wallpaper. Bring sandwiches

KirtlebridgeBridge (possible), Clearance Cairn · 492 yd

Explorer Tom Kirtlebridge is a possible bridge and a clearance cairn, which means it’s either crossing something or just standing there looking confused. It’s got no date, so it could be ancient or it could be from last Tuesday. The drama with the nearest tree is palpable. Practise your Irish on it, it won't correct you.

Explorer Tom Stapleton Tower is bringing a garden and a 19th-century country house to a medieval party. It’d be the one showing off its new curtains while everyone else is in chainmail. A bit of a posh mix for a tower house. Make a wish, it's had centuries of practice.
