What is recorded here

Kinder Scout rises to approximately 636 metres and is the highest point in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District. It is part of the Miller Hill range and is composed mainly of gritstone and millstone grit, with a moorland landscape that has been protected as a National Nature Reserve. It matters as a key site for conservation and as a symbol of the 1932 Mass Trespass, a pivotal event in the campaign for public access to the countryside in England.
