Kiltrelig Burial Ground is a dead place in County Clare, Ireland, where the living stopped laying out flowers and the dead stopped answering questions. It is not a landmark, a market, a temple or a home; it is a hole in the shape of a person, waiting to be filled. The land keeps its own counsel, holds its own shape and refuses to perform for visitors.
