Kilskeagh Church (in ruins)

In an overgrown area of outcropping rock; it lies within an L-shaped graveyard. What survives are the collapsed and overgrown remains of a poorly preserved rectangular church (E-W; L c. 16m, Wth c. 9m). Only the lower courses of the walls still stand (H 1.5m max.) and no architectural features are visible. Immediately to SSW are the grassed-over foundation lines of a rectangular building (N-S 10m, E-W 5m), with a small annexe (L 2m, Wth 1.3m) running E off NE corner. The interior of the latter is lower than the surrounding ground surface: possibly a latrine. A gap in W wall may mark the site of a doorway. Two simple stone-lined graves lie within the interior. A cross (GA071-076004-) is associated and a hall-house (GA071-049----) stands 755m to SSE.
