Kilruddery

Situated on gently undulating terrain beneath the Little Sugarloaf mountain. The present house was built in Elizabethan-Revival style to the design of Sir Richard Morrison for the 10th Earl of Meath. It was started in 1820 and substantially remodelled in the 1950s, and incorporated the front and other parts of the original seventeenth-century house (Bence-Jones 1978, 171–2). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
