Six-arch road bridge, built c.1820, to carry Cork to Mallow road over valley of Glennamought River. Coursed rubble stone walls with squared stone voussoirs to round-headed arches. Putlog holes and corbels to walls of barrels. V-shaped buttresses to spandrels. Coursed rubble stone parapets with soldier coping and drainage holes at lower level to west. Parapet repaired to east. Tarmacdam carriageway with footpath to east.

This substantial road bridge, spanning a deep river valley, represents a major feat of engineering on the part of its builders. Interestingly, the technology utilised in the construction of the towering spandrel walls is clearly visible in the surviving putlog holes.
