What is recorded here

Limekiln (H c. 7.2m; Wth 7.3m; D c. 7.6m), built against quarry face; one of three limekilns (CO073-096----, CO073-098----) in demesne of Blarney Castle (CO062-177). Front elevation (NE) has arched recess (H 1m; Wth 2.7m; D 1.6m); iron lintel to rear and sloping slabs underneath. Side walls project from either end of front elevation. Circular brick-lined funnel (diam. c. 2.5m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
