Excavated (E3478) during 2005 by L. Mckinstry as part of Site 13 at Moneylawn Lower, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Two features located c. 12m outside the outer fosse of the concentric enclosure (WX011-060001-) at SW are interpreted as kilns. One (dims. 1.47m x 0.7m; max. D 0.5m) that was disturbed by a tree-root had a distinct oven-pit (dims. 1.13m x 0.53m), but the second consisted of a stone-lined bowl (dims. 0.9m x 0.65m; max. D 0.4m) and flue (Wth 0.1-0.2m; D 0.0.1-0.3m). (Mckinstry 2008, 406; 2008a, 11-12)
