Discovered during pre-development excavation at the site of the former Drogheda Grammar School in 1998 (Excavation Licence No. 98E0544). This kiln measured 3.4m by 1.6m and its eastern end was stone-lined. Burnt animal bone and teeth were recovered. A second corn-drying kiln (LH024-041070-) was found to the W. Found in association with a number of medieval buildings (LH024-041068-, LH024-041069-, LH024-041072-, LH024-041075-, LH024-041076- and LH024-041077-), the remains of the Archbishops palace (LH024-041078-) and a lime kiln (LH024-041073-).
