What is recorded here

Large, double ended (dumbbell-shaped) stone-lined, corn-drying kiln. Probable firebox(es) located in the central flue. Approx 6m long with drying chambers c.0.50m wide inside the lining. Layers of burning and ash deposits inside the flue. Whole remaining structure is sub-surface and appears to represent the underfloor flues rather than actual firebox and chambers. This is quite sophisticated and resembles the dryer at Killeisk. Probably later Early Medieval - Medieval. Nearby were a few pits and postholes that represent occupation of unknown date.
