What is recorded here
Kill is a vanished children's burial ground hidden in the southeast corner of a small West Cork field. No stone, ditch or marker breaks the grass, yet the land still carries the weight of innocent lives given back to the soil. The absence of proof does not diminish the tragedy; it sharpens the quiet danger of forgetting.
In SE corner of small field. Known locally as burial ground. No visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
