Kill BurGd (Childrens) (Disused) is a burial ground in County Cork, Ireland, where children were laid to rest beneath holly and grave markers. The disused site holds a quiet sadness, its boundaries marked by growth rather than walls. What is known is that it existed for the dead and was named for the youngest among them.
In pasture. Irregular area (32m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by holly growth and numerous grave markers.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
