Kildoon Burial Ground is a disused hilltop site in County Carlow where a circular stone wall still surrounds a place once used for death. Its shape and location suggest it began as a ringfort before becoming a religious burial ground, yet no grave markers remain visible. The absence of names and stones does not erase the purpose; it invites imagination about the people who laid others to rest beneath an open sky.
