Kildonan Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Kildonan Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1km. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Kildonan Castle was built in the 13th century by the Macdonald clan, who held it as part of their extensive lands in the Western Isles. It is remembered as a significant medieval stronghold in the history of the Scottish Highlands.
