Kildarra Burial Ground (Disused) — Report the wrong picture

Kildarra Grave Yd. is a disused burial ground in County Cork pasture, marked on the 1842 OS map and still holding scattered gravemarkers among field clearance stones. Its irregular boundary, shaped by a slight eastern scarp, shallow fosse and western depression, suggests people once cut this place out of open land for death and memory. Cattle may now walk across graves that had no wall to warn them, turning human loss into ordinary ground beneath hooves and grass.

In pasture. Marked 'Kildarra Grave Yd.' on OS 6-inch map (1842). Irregular area (c. 29m N-S; c. 18.2m E-W) defined by slight scarp and shallow external fosse to E; slight depression (D 0.1m) to W. Field clearance stones and some gravemarkers noted in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
