What is recorded here

Situated on a natural rise on the floodplains of the Little river in undulating countryside. Square shaped graveyard (26m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank (Wth 0.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) with some 18th but mainly 19th-century headstones. Large quarry pit in the SW sector due to modern disturbance. Church (OF022-020----) remains located across the river to the W and Holy well (OF022-022----) located to the S. Portion of bell shrine belonging to St. Camin found in graveyard in the 19th-century (JRSAI vol. 2, 59-60) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
